You call this a Newspaper?

I am not anywhere close to being the greatest grammer girl. I struggle with my grammer and spelling all the time. As a matter of fact, I usually keep a dictionary near me whenever I am writing something formal that will be read by others. This is why I never took to the "print" journalism department. I knew my limitations.

This brings me to our local paper. You see, here in Riverton our nearest news stations are two hours away in Casper. Therefore, most news we see has to do with either Casper or the rest of the state. So, our local newspaper is very important to the residents here. Which brings me to my point -- our paper sucks! First of all, there are spelling mistakes that would make a child in the 5th grade laugh. Is there an editor? There must be. After all, there is an entire page dedicated to "letters to the editor." Is he like Santa Claus? Does he really exist or are all of our letters going to some room where old ladies paste them to a page and throw it to print. Are we all just being humored? Hey Riverton! Next time you want to write a letter to the editor, you should start it with, "Dear Santa."
